However, i do think sony has made people to believe this. During the 'war' between the CFW and official FW, where a custom FW was released then 2 days later sony had patched it, this made people think that piracy was killing the PSP. But look at the PSone and PS2, they both had, and still do a astronomical amount of piracy in their software sales, but correct me if im wrong, the PS2 has shipped over 110 million units worldwide!!! Doesn't sound like piracy harmed them significantly.... I agree with you Ewan about piracy not being that damaging to the psp system… However, i do think sony has made people to believe this.
