Back from a stupidly long trip around the US and Europe, but comfy in the stash of games and news to go through. No immediate news today, blame jetlag, but I did want to touch on the bittorrent numbers PSP Fanboy linked to last week. After that, it’s on to another ‘crazy’ japanese arcade simulation - this time I get to be an Air Traffic Controller!

Will be adding God Of War to my 100% umd game collection v.soon,In my opinion does’nt all this piracy business put companys off from making new games for the PSP ?!?

You are wrong Eddie,
It does not put companys off from making new games.
Because the pirating people, would probably never buy the game, but just download it cause hey!, its free.
I “pirate” games, I guess….
I buy games that I like, God of War, Patapon, WipEout Pure and Pulse, Socom Tactical Strike etc… etc….
Games I WOULD NEVER BUY, I download, because Im actually interested, what I think that moment is: Hey that game looks boring, lets check it out. So I would not buy the game. Honestly most games I download get deleted in less then a week. And if it is a game I, well, didnt expect much of but actually liked, I will ATLEAST buy the next game (ThegameIhate 2), and maybe even buy the game I downloaded…..
long story… simple message:
Pirates dont exist for nothing, they keep the economy strong and healthy.

I agree with you Ewan about piracy not being that damaging to the psp system… However, i do think sony has made people to believe this.
During the ‘war’ between the CFW and official FW, where a custom FW was released then 2 days later sony had patched it, this made people think that piracy was killing the PSP.
But look at the PSone and PS2, they both had, and still do a astronomical amount of piracy in their software sales, but correct me if im wrong, the PS2 has shipped over 110 million units worldwide!!!
Doesn’t sound like piracy harmed them significantly….

The Geeky Air Traffic Control Hero sounds just up my fathers street…pity he doesn’t have a PSP
Maybe I should download him a copy so that I can show him the potential of the PSP and persuade him to buy one
