Well, Lumines can run a Hello World, so it would be more fair to say that a hole has been found, but whether it will be exploited fully, let’s wait a few days.

Nice show but on the question of censorship. I agree on what has been taking place with Manhunt 2. Where is the line? For instance if we make up our own minds, are snuff movies ok or say the horrible executions the terrorists have been filming? Rockstar has been down this road many times before, it knows what to expect, it knows what is acceptable.

I agree with ewan and say that we should decide on what we should play. But i think the censorship people should include more details or what happens in the game, instead of just saying strong violence or what not, they should come up with a more indepth review. This will help me and parents chooses if the game is right for them without having to purchase it first.

It would NOT be a good idea Notter, children could and still can easily get a hold of games rated M. Thats how I got GTA, but this game is just too violent for me….. children don’t know why they shouldn’t try to buy it, so they buy it by asking someone else to do it or just going up and asking it, the shop keepers aren’t really helping parents… giving the games even if its a kid. Children would get a lot violenter then they are now (oo man…) and they are already very violent…. How they could do it is ban it, and you can only buy it via a website or something where you have to show your drivers license or something, someway to show them that you are an adult and you KNOW what this game does to you.

fair point codess, and i do agree that children can still get ahold of adult rated games. But i think the developers need to work more closly together to ensure that games are released to the people who are old enough to buy them
June 28th, 2007 at 6:28 pm
yeah, thats the biggest problem, they give the ratings, but they never check who is buying the game. Here in the Netherlands, I saw two 5 year olds, and they bought GTA……. the guy behind the counter didn’t say anything like; “Aren’t you guys a little too young?”, he just gave it too them. The shops should check your ID, if thats what it takes, the kids are getting more aggresive.
